Data Recovery (Windows)

have you lost a document on windows or your USB?  there has been many times working at work that I have helped students that accidental lost their document on their USB or what not.

so one of the easiest ways to recover documents that have been accidentally deleted is use Recuva this tool is great for recovering data. The program is very simple to use and you will be surprised by how much you can find of your old deleted files.  The program has many different settings you can use and simple for basic users that want to find documents or pictures or what not. if your use the advance search you can specify what type of file type to look for.

so if you ever loss a file try this program out before you take your computer to the local tech repair place and they charge you $200 to get back your information.

if the previous program could not get you back your photos to the extent that you like. lets say they where damaged more than that program could repair.
i would suggest a program called photoRec this program uses some advance techniques that don't rely on the file system to recover the data. "PhotoRec ignores the file system and goes after the underlying data, so it will still work even if your media's file system has been severely damaged or reformatted."

this program is great at recovering photos even when there has been a reformatting of the hard drive.  this program may not be as nice and take a little more know how than recuva but it does a great job of recover.

check out http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec_Step_By_Step for their step by step guide on how to recover.

i hope this helps you recover your important data on your windows OS
